The Evil Twin

So many people would not know this, but Makai has an evil twin. He likes to grace us with his presence every 3 months and stays for a week - the week from HELL.

We have just been lucky enough to have accommodated The "Twin"this past week and what an interesting week it has been.

We have had tantrums thrown, objects thrown, doors slammed and kicked. Braxton is also not allowed to touch The "Twin" or the toys in his perimeter, if he does he gets "the look" and his hand pushed away whilst being told off.

Even though Braxton is only 6 months old he has taught himself this last week his line of defence. If "The Twin" puts Braxton's fingers in his mouth, Braxton will do 2 things.

1 - He will grab his glasses before they can even get to his mouth
2 - Pull his hair with his other hand which "The Twin" HATES

This morning I woke up to hear the name "Mummy," Makai was waiting at his door patiently for me to take him to the toilet. HE WAS BACK ! My little boy Makai had returned to us and "The Twin" (who outstayed his welcome this time) had GONE - for now !

If you see either of these faces, I have 2 words for you - RUN AWAY !

A Mother's Pride

As a mother you become so extremely proud of ALL your children's accomplishments, and when I say ALL I am including those teeny-tiny-only-a-mother-would-be-proud moments.

So on Friday's, Braxton has his swimming lessons. These are not like any other normal swimming lesson...they are teaching children how to float fully clothed for 15 minutes in a COLD pool, also they roll them around so they learn to flip back on their backs.

This has been our 4th lesson now with Braxton and there has been no real developments.

BUT TODAY on the 20th APRIL 2012 that all change !

My baby boy at 6 months old floated for 5 WHOLE SECONDS !

I could not have been prouder of him at that moment.

I know that, yes it was only 5 seconds, but in my eyes that is defiantly worth having a celebration over.

An "uninteresting" Picnic

So we killed 2 birds with 1 stone this month for our date and family outting.

Our April date was to do something that we have always wanted to do but never done.

We have ALWAYS since we got married to go back to we, Jevan and I had our wedding reception, which was at Berowra Waters.

So we packed up our picnic basket with our favourite foods and put it in the car.

We absolutely LOVED it. There was a park for Makai to play on, Boats for him to watch, there was even ducks that he could feed.

Jevan started packing up the car and said to Makai..."Let's go car Kai Kai."

To which the response was "We go home WOOHOO" with his hands up in the air.

We had a fantastic time but Makai was CLEARLY bored.

Children - they just make you feel like your so important sometimes.
