A Moment

sometimes life gives you beautiful moments.
this was a team effort to get this photo.
one sunday jevan and i were sitting eating breakfast and we could hear the boys laughing and playing together and i knew that i this would be my photo of the day.
so jevan opened the door until i could get both of them in the shot without interrupting this moment.
being a mother is sweet.

Sunbeam-ee

this year is about to see many changes for our family,
the first of these was Mr Braxton becoming a nursery and going into primary with his big brother.
the last three months of 2014 he was itching to go with makai to primary.
he loves primary but he really really misses his food time in nursery.
i say this all the time when it involves some big event in their lives but i can't believe he is a sunbeam.
i still remember walking him into nursery for the first time,
he didn't even have a full set of teeth then.
now he is three years old and ready to conquer the world.
he is my wild child there is no doubt about that.
he doesn't look back to see approval from me, he just jumps right in.
but he can never go to sleep until he gets his hugs and kisses from his mum and dad.
i love him to pieces and am so excited to watch him on his little journey.

Annual Photo

so this year we had the best photo taken of our boys.
I absolutely love it and cannot stop laughing every time I look at it.
It's those priceless timeless photos that will never get old.

see perfect lol.

Complaint Free

had a perfect date with the boys today,
they don't happen very often.
but when they do, I just soak it all up.
i think this is the way we get through the challenging parts of raising kids.
that's why amazing days were invented.
i took the boys to Taronga zoo today.
there was no complaints about how far they were walking, no complaints when I said we couldn't get an icecream, no complaints when I pulled out their pre-packed lunch, no complaints of far the car was parked away, there was even no complaints when asked to take a photo.
it was bliss.

Post Holiday

i had to blog about this before i forgot.
you know those holidays were everything just goes perfectly.
we just got home from one.
there was no arguments (which is big because there is normally AT LEAST one), the things that we had planned failed but the plans that replaced them were even more fun than i anticipated, the weather just made you smile everyday.
our annual family vacay was up in the gold coast.
we swam lots, we visited byron bay, we spent a day out with thomas at a railway museum, we did more 7am swimming, we ate big chiefs - the BEST burger place on this planet, had a late night stroll on broad beach, we ate pizza and the boys got introduced to the delicacy of spiders, we bowled, we video gamed, we saw big hero 6, bracky got his first stick on tattoo (can't even tell you how excited he was about it),
but most importantly we laughed and made memories that will last a lifetime.
it was perfect for our little family of five,
just what we needed to kickstart twenty-fifteen.

new year. new goals

so last year it took all year but i completed my goal.
this is the FIRST time in my life i actually completed something,
the reason to this i think was because it was realistic and it was something i could really do.
so that got me thinking about goals for this year.
some are totally random but they apply to me and is something i want to do.
so in the year of twenty-fifeteen i want to.
  • wear read lipstick
  • play the piano every sunday morning
  • be more confident in myself and my abilities
  • focus on and be grateful for what i have rather than what i want.
  • be happy with who i am
  • improve on organising myself
  • blog more
so there you have it bloggers, this is my goal for 2015.
they aren't massive goals that will wow people.
but they are goals that are reachable (if that's even a word)
