Gold Coast Baby.

our last (EVER) little holiday (with our favourite americans - The Stoddards)
to the gold coast went a little bit like this.
eat.
swim.
sleep.
repeat.

i don't think i need to say much else.
it was awesome.
and I'm still recovering from it because I am no longer 22.

Annual Photo Santa Photo

we had the first year of noone crying on santa's lap this year.
i was bummed.
i really love the screaming pictures.
zayden took alot of coaxing into the photo.
the only way we could get him to do it was telling him that he would makai's lap (because even though makai won't admit it, he's still scared of santa)
and brax would sit on santa's lap.
we go there and everything was going to plan.
except,
when they put brax on one side of santa, makai on the other and zayden smack bam on santa's knee.
he looked at santa (petrified) and then us (like we had betrayed him in the worst way ever)
and smiled with such fear (like if anyone touched him he would burst into tears at any moment).
jevan and i were laughing so hard.
it was hilarious.

Graduate 2016

we have a graduate in the ormsby household today.
mr braxton ormsby graduated from pre-school today.
you could not stop the smile smeared across his face,
especially when he saw that al his favourite people were there just for him.
this boy has loved every minute of it of this year.
he has completely transformed into a strong and confident boy during this year.
braxton is busting to be a kindy boy next year,
he is ready to tackle the world one step and skip at a time.
braxton is going to make the world a better place.
he has a heart of gold.
he is my sensitive soul,
he is super inquisitive and loves to explore.
noone is more excited to see where this boy goes in life than me.

dr seuss says it best

"You're off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So... get on your way!"

Tooth/Less 2.0

makai has an exciting announcement to make.
"HE FINALLY LOST HIS FIRST TOOTH !"
makai has been waiting for this day to arrive since he began kindy and everyone around him was loosing teeth.
he was excited, i was so excited and jevan was so excited for him.
he was super chuffed with himself.
we now are the proud parents of two toothless little boys.
family photos are going to be so fun from now.
the way makai told us is a good story, we think its one of those good parenting stories anyway.
i had just put them all to bed and finally sat down to do our budget with jevan
- it had already been a long day.
and they were all calling out to me down the stairs,
and in my patient (yeh, right) mother voice i said (screamed)
STOP CALLING OUT TO ME ! IT'S BED TIME GO TO SLEEP !
and then a little voice said "mum can i tell you something, it's kind of important"
rolling my eyes i said (screamed) WHAT IS IT ?!
"my tooth has fallen out"
my frustration changed into excitement straight away and jevan and i both ran up the stairs saying with joy "YAY, you finally lost it. This is so exciting."
jevan chuckles at how my mood changed in an instant.
we are so happy for our little kai/kai boy.

New Zealand | Part 4

we arrived in auckland and this is where we will wrap up our trip.
we spent 3 and a half days in auckland.
on thursday we visited family and did some present shopping for the boys.
we went out to an italian restaurant where they had the BEST pizza and pasta i've ever had.
friday we decided to hike mount rangitoto.
it's new zealands youngest volcano.
it was pretty awesome.
we had to catch a ferry from devonport to it.
the boat ride was awesome.
we had city views on one side and country views on the other.
jevan and i wanted to see if we could beat the time it suggested it would have taken.
and we did by 20 mins
- and we were dead when we reached the top.
that night we took our nephew and niece indoor rock climbing and to dinner.
it was so nice to spend some time alone with them without having my boys there.
they are growing up way too fast !
so by now its saturday and it's the reason why we planned this trip to new zealand.
- the bledisloe.
this would be one of his big bucket list items.
seeing the all blacks play at eden park.
but before this event our sister in law took us to what we refer to as "the stairs of hell."
we ran up and down what felt like the steepest staircase in the world.
and then i had my first experience of playing nfl
(little bit of a fan now.)
we were in so much pain we didn't do much else while we waited for the rugby game.
i can't even describe jevan's face to you as we walked up to and around eden park.
i loved his face.
he was like a little kid on christmas morning.
the atmosphere was incredible, it was so intense,
i ALMOST wanted to become an all blacks supporter.
new zealand was one of our favourite places to go to as a couple.
this was by far my most favourite trip i have taken with jevan.
i'm so glad i got to go on this adventure with him.
