Our Kind Of Perfection

this last weekend was perfect.
i don't use that word often because in this household we definitely can't do perfect.
but this weekend was an exception.
we roasted marshmallows on the fire to bring in the weekend on friday,
the boys had a rugby game early saturday morning.
they played great and almost got blasted away with the crazy winds we got.
i went on a midday date with the older boys to get makai new runners,
(zayden + jevan slept)
and then in the afternoon we went on an impromptu family date to parramatta park.
we spent all the afternoon and went in early night here.
we played rugby, went on scooter rides, had races, spotted pokemon catchers, played hide and seek around an old historic house and i got to take photos.
we have found our new favourite family spot.
we had a family picnic in the lounge room for dinner,
we ate and watched shrek (zayden's favourite movie).
and sunday just flowed on after it.
it was our kind of perfect weekend.

Cling Wrap + Cars

yesterday morning was so miserable.
the weather at the moment is so temperamental.
naturally it was a stay inside morning.
we made play dough and that entertained them for a little bit,
but what entertained them for pretty much all the morning was ....
using cling wrap to cover all their cars.
it is crazy how the littlest and most cheapest thing
can entertain them for the longest time.
this little activity went well into the afternoon.
it was a good reminder
that they don't need expensive toys or a whole lot of toys to have fun.

p.s had to add zayden's CHEEEEESE face and braxton's optimus pose.

Pokemon Craze

yep,
i downloaded the pokemon go app for the boys.
i am slightly regretting it because they want to do it ALL the time.
but,
on the plus side bracky will walk all around quakers hill
withOUT complaining.
i also love that makai is wearing pants that are WAY too short for him,
braxton also has his pants on backwards.
and neither would change.

Pre-Back-To-School-Day

yesterday was the last day of the holidays
and we spent it doing fruit shopping
where makai attempted to chuck a tantrum and it was a complete fail.
he started taking off to the car,
i told him that if he crossed that road without me he would be in more trouble,
because he was running so fast and trying to stop so quickly
he fell straight on his backside.
i could not stop laughing !
we went to lennox bridge and did some rock climbing and went for a lovely walk through the bush,
where my 60 year old mother carried zayden in a baby carrier
- she's a champ !
we got milkshakes and played at the park.
but to top it off in bracky's nightly prayers he asked
"could we please vomit so we don't have to go to school tomorrow."
i'm going to take that as a compliment kid.

p.s - he woke up this morning and said
"mum i was just tricking you, i love school"
that boy.

The Amituanai's

on saturday i got to do my first paid photoshoot.
it was for one of my longest friends and her husband.
they were the best first couple to shoot.
they made me feel so comfortable and had just as much fun as i did.
they made me laugh and were down for trying anything and everything.
and when i say everything i mean EVERYTHING,
they rock climbed down to a fallen tree and hopped up on it to get some photos.
today they celebrated their one year anniversary
and i was lucky enough to be apart of their wedding party.
they are in love just as much (even more) than they were on their wedding day.
here are the amituanai's !
