Morisset Hospital

this is one of the most true aussie-est experiences you will ever do.
feed kangaroos out about in the bush.
our friends took us here over a year ago and the boys just loved it,
so of course we had to take the girls to it.
the boys got a free off for this little adventure.
i figured it was pretty dang awesome as well as educational.
and we all need mental health days now and then.
so you will find this little gem at Morisset Hospital.
just before you reach the hospital there's a huge grass opening surrounded by trees,
and there you will find the countless amounts of kangaroos.
this is the place i fell in love with the aussie icons.
and the one thing they remind me of is qantas
- completely random but seriously you can see it, right?!
if you go here make sure you feed them carrots and cut them into little pieces,
everything else gives them an upset stomach.
roo's are so powerful and so gentle.
we even got to see joey's hanging out in their mumma's pouches.
it was an awesome experience
one the boys are still talking about to this day.

and of course we had to have a stop at the beach seeing as we were so close to it !

Wentworth Falls

ok so this day didn't go to planned.
we had planned we would go to the jenolan caves but we left the house too late,
so after a quick google search we headed to do a little hike to see the wentworth falls.
we started which should of taken 10 mins to see the falls,
but then we decided to take another track which ended up being maybe an hour
and the track we ended up following had been on my bucket list for a while,
so it was a tiny bit of a selfish decision on my part lol.
it was pretty sweet though.
it is called the over-cliff under-cliff track.
you are literally going right underneath the edges of the rock face.
it was SUPER muddy
so i was pretty thankful for the rock stepping stones that were all the way along.
we came across red hand prints on the rocks too
and what looked like old oven made from brick.
i don't think i will ever fall out of love with the blue mountains.

Barangaroo

so we ticked off fish and chips at the beach,
next up was a photo under the harbour bridge followed by a good old aussie pie.
so naturally we headed to barangaroo,
i LOVE this place.
it's probably my favourite place to visit in the city at the moment.
i love how open it is and you can walk as close as you want to the harbours edge.
but because i am petrified of sharks
- that wasn't very close for me.
i also love all the old houses you walk by that i never knew existed before.
the boys whined the whole walk from barangaroo to darling harbour,
(zayden excluded thanks to his ride !)
it was one of those just shuttttttt upppppp moments.
like come on guys,
if you put all the effort from complaining into walking you'd get their faster.
you guys know what i'm talking about, right?!
we went to harry's for pies and hot dogs.
very aussie !

Queenscliff To Shelly

my nieces are over from the states,
so that means alot of showing off what a beautiful city that we live in
and our first stop was manly.
we did the queenscliff to shelly beach walk.
this was actually quite a long walk,
it surprised me.
the weather was beautiful though.
call and i both got sunburnt
and can we take amount to realise that it's still winter
- i LOVE australian winters.
zayden enjoyed swimming
-yes swimming in winter, again i LOVE australian winters,
in the rock pool fairy bowers half way back to manly.
and we enjoyed a classic fish and chips for lunch on the beach,
the seagulls enjoyed zayden's generousness aswell
- we did not.

Date 7/12

date night turned into date day.
(thanks to my mum)
and they are my favourite kind of dates to go on.
i'm terrible at night dates,
i ALWAYS (jevan will attest to this) fall asleep on the way home without fail.
this month it was my pick.
and that was....
The Hermitage Foreshore Walk.
it's over in Vaucluse.
but the city views were spectacular !
this ticked off a few places on my bucket list also.
Milk Beach, Strickland House and Shark Net Beach.
the walk itself was super easy.
it is mostly flat apart from a couple of stairs.
there was a couple of places were rocks have formed stairs,
so you can walk right down to the water
and even rock climb from one beach to the other.
the weather was perfect on saturday,
which really helped bring up the blue and aqua hues on the water.
and to make it even more perfect for me,
there were two historical we came across on the walk.
greycliffe and strickland house.
we will be bringing the boys back here with us next time.

Fairy Tale Day

catching up on events from last term.
the kindy theme for last term was fairy tales.
and during the term each kindy class has to create a fairy tale theme.
using recyclable items only.
bracky's class made the three little pigs house.
fairy tale finally came,
after counting and counting down the days it FINALLY came.
- if he had asked me one more time i think i would've gone cray cray.
bracky chose to go as the hulk.
all the kindy kids looked awesome.
the smiles on their faces were from ear to ear.

Addict

zayden has an addiction.
every morning and lunch time,
even a sneaky afternoon hit to.
he just HAS to have it.
he'll slap it on bread or a big old spoonful straight from the jar.
NUTELLA friends is the culprit.
