mothers day this year was
(as the young kids say)
- lit !
this year was my favourite,
i think i say that every year but this year really was.
we did our annual blue mountains visit.
this tradition has been going strong for 6 years now
and it's one of my favourite ones.
this year we got our bakery treats
from the same bakery we have in previous years,
ate all our goodies at the three sisters
-accompanied by some hot chocolate
(which we made from home and took.)
we had fun playing in the autumn tree leaves that had fallen on the ground.
the colours were amazing.
we also did the pulpit rock walk up in black heath.
it was SOOOOO fetching cold.
borderline we almost froze to death.
a brisk 5 degrees.
this walk is basically right down on the side of the cliff,
the wind was ridiculous.
there was one point i took all the boys beanies off them,
in fear of them blowing off their heads
and told them to slide down the stairs on their butts.
the view though was spectacular
and it was a perfect 30 minute return walk for the boys.
in actual 'mothers day',
jevan had organised a breakfast bbq at a park,
it was sooo good.
he cooks a good bacon and egg roll
- one of his specialties is cooking eggs,
one of the reason i married him.
i love all these little traditions we had started with the boys,
they are so special to me
and way more precious to me than anything money could buy
*CHEESY* but true.
