Little Red

this fellow readers is zayden.
and this photo summarises every thing you need to know about this boy.

My Guy

my guy is pretty spesh.
he is one in a million.
he is my saving grace.
everyone just thinks my handsome guy is a tight accountant but,
he is SO much more.

before i go on this will be corny - i haven't done one in over a year so you'll just have to bare it
*insert emoji with the poked out tongue*

he does a ridiculous amount for me.
he works his butt off night and day to build a career to support the boys and i.
he comes home after a long day and puts away the dishes and juicer back together for me.
he always makes sure the bins have been taken out.
he turns on my electric blanket because he knows i hate the cold.
he tells me i'm beautiful when i'm at the breaking out stage of my "time of the month,"
he takes the kids to the park once during the weekend so i can have some time to myself.
he does the washing and drying on the dishes on the weekend.
he always makes the house spotless every saturday night so i can wake up on sunday to a clean house.
he irons his shirts for the week and all the sunday shirts.
he sends me random texts that make me smile.
he kisses me on the forehead.
he plays with my hair because he knows I LOVE IT.
he always gives me the first choice of dinner and dessert on saturday because its my only treat night.
when i am in a grumpy mood (girls you know what i'm talking about) for no reason he always tries to make me smile, laugh and to just get over it.
he explores the world with me even though he'd rather sleep life away or stay indoors.
even if he feels unappreciated he always tries to to make my life easier.
he amazes me how driven and focussed he is.
he is so loyal.
he is my best friend.
he is the better half of me.

he took me to the blue mountains for a little getaway when he was on break.
it was just what i needed.
this trip we discovered the jenolan caves and mount tomah.

i write this post not to brag or think my one is better than anyone else's.
i write this to remind MYSELF of how lucky i really am.

Salt And Sea

sand, water and salt.
how can someone not love the beach.
there is something about it that makes me feel at peace and calm.
it's my happy place.
lucky for me my boys inherited my love for the water and sun.
in summer you can find us regularly at the beach.
we went a couple of weeks ago to manly beach.
it was a perfect winters day for it.
the boys started off running back and forth from the waves,
which then turned into jumping over them,
which turned into falling in them getting drenched,
which turned into swimming in the beach in their knickers.
lucky their dad was in qld or else they wouldn't have even been allowed to play near the sand.
the joy on their faces was priceless.

i am usually the one behind the lens, which i also love.
this years photos were taken by Hannah Arnold Photography.
she had an awesome mothers day special.
and she is one of jevans favourite photographers,
he loves the style of pictures she takes.
and she is AWESOME with our boys.
here are some of my favourites.

jevan and i need to get our photographing skills on.

Unconditional

motherhood.
noone can ever prepare you for this roller coaster.
there are so many highs and lows.
i had a VERY LOW point this afternoon.
the three boys and i had the fun of hosting gastro in our house the last 4 days.
zayden and i had it one after another and the older boys got lucky enough to have it together.
so we basically have been stuck in the house all week.
and anyone who knows me knows i LOVE being outside.
if i don't get outside i get superbly cranky.
so yep, my boys got cranky moody mum this arvo.
poor kids.
i was emotional, telling everybody off at any chance i could get.
the worst thing was i knew that i needed to shut up but i couldn't.
the words kept charging out of my mouth.
as i sat down around 6:30 thinking how horrible i had been and how they didn't deserve ANY of it,
brax snuggled right up close, leant his head on my arm and said
"Mum, I Love You."
at that moment i knew that my three little boys know how much i love them,
and for now they won't hold a crazy moment above my head.
how amazing is their unconditional love.
they really know the true meaning and have it down packed.

Thredbo, You Rock !

i can't believe it's been over a month since i have blogged.
that went way too fast.
FINALLY we have to internet in our new pad,
and there is sooo much i have to catch up on.
and the first item of business would be;
"WE WENT TO THE SNOW" ! - it was ridiculously amazing.
we were completely snow rookies and we will def be going back next year.
we started travelling down on the wednesday and we stopped at Canberra for a couple of hours.
we took the boys to The Dinosaur Museum.
braxton, our dino mad boy LOVED it,
we kept loosing zayden every time we would walk near a robot dinosaur.
he would be running full pelt in the opposite direction.
say still isn't over his fear of statues yet.
we then took them to the war memorial.
makai thought this was pretty neat because he was learning about the anzacs in school this year.
we reached jindabyne by late afternoon.
we stayed in a little cabin in a place called Crackenback (my favourite),
which was half way between Jindabyne and Thredbo.
the accommodation was perfect for us.
it was set in a national park type location there was rabbits, kangaroos and emus' running through every morning and plenty of space for the kids to run around and burn off some energy.
this is where we realised our children think that the zoo is the animals home.
we saw a kangaroo to which makai said "Mum, the kangaroo has escaped from his home", I replied "This is his home",
"No mum, kangaroo's live at the zoo"
we spent the next two days at thredbo.
we did countless amounts of toboggan rides, joovy showed the boys his snowboarding skills with the toboggan, we took each other out and other people out on our rides down the hill.
we roasted marshmellows, we had snowball fights (braxton instigated these ALL the time), we attempted to build a snowman - our boys didn't have the attention span for it and zayden kept licking it, we saw how many people we could fit on the toboggan at once and zayden got his first solo ride right at the end - i'll never forget his face !
the second day we were there we woke up to snow on the ground and the grass and bushes all iced over, it was beautiful.
the snow never appealed to me before because i'm a summer girl.
but you do not get cold there AT ALL, we were sweating and piling off our layers.
next year our boys have requested that we ski and that's exactly what we will be doing.
we loved it so much that this will be an annual holiday in our little family.
