Cross Country

bracky had his first ever cross country two monday's ago.

he was a little nervous because he didn't know what to expect.

he kept asking me what if he got tired and couldn't run anymore.

i told him it didn't matter if he won or lost,

but all that mattered was that he had fun and enjoyed himself.

i think he surprised himself because he came a big 6th place.

and this is big for this boy because he HATES walking let alone running.
bracky is super super tender and really feels deeply about things,
so for me to stay and watch him was such a huge deal.
he kept thanking me and giving me big hugs for staying to watch him do his big race.
i would never miss anything for this boy.

March Past

this year the boys rugby team got to participate in a marsh past.

they got to walk on the big rugby field and march around the oval holding their teams banner.

oh how the boys loved it.

makai was just taking everything in.

he loved the atmosphere and the energy,

after that they got to watch their first waratahs game.

Goodbye-Locks

so this happened this month.

his first haircut.

he obviously enjoyed it !

Vivid 2016

for the last two weeks jevan has been saving his lunch money to take my on a date.

can i get a #poorlife over here lol.

one day (not so very soon) we will look back on these days and laugh.

jevan hates taking a packed lunch but he did it without any complaints.

that is love right there !

we caught the train to town hall,

ate burger project for dinner,

(double double and vanilla thick shakes was a winner)

made our way from there to circular quay to check out vivid.

this was the first year we didn't take the boys.

it was a whole lot more relaxing because we didn't have to fight with the crowds with the prams, making sure we had 3 kids at all times and we could just wander and explore without "i'm too tired to walk."

it was such a fun night to pretend we were young and free

- and then we came home at 9:30

and pretty much went straight too bed !

the young feelin' didn't last too long.

Future Ballers.

lazy mornings are my favourite.

they are happening very rarely at the moment.

life is crazy busy with all we have to get done.
so this morning we had a very unproductive lazy sunday morning.

we (inclusive of the boys) slept in until 8,

we made french toast,

we stayed in our pjs until 11,

and the day jevan has waited for ever since he found out we were having our first boy

finally came to pass.

makai and braxton took an interest in basketball.

he loved it.

and they loved it.

Roadtrip To Husky

i love road trips.

and when there is a road trip that involves driving to husky, jervis bay

i am there !

the kids love the blow hole at kiama,

that's a must stop for us.

and they love a good swim at shark net beach in husky.
(can i mention that these boys swan in late august and the weather was perfect.)

next time we will be stopping at the donut van.

best cinnamon donuts !

Blue Mountains 2016

it's that time of year again.

my mothers day adventure to the blue mountains buttery.

this is our fourth year of doing this.

and each time i still love the vanilla slice.

instead of doing a hike this year we found a little reserve to eat our goodies right near the three sisters.

it was called Silver Mist Reserve.

we were on our way to the Laura Cascades but noticed this little gem on our way.

we pulled over and it was perfect

 there was even a couple of lookouts walked the boys too.

the boys get more and more adventurous every year.

their thing they loved doing this year was climbing up on the rocks and shouting

"WE'RE ON TOP OF THE WORLD!"

and "COOO-E."

we played tip a bunch of time, we sang songs, we spoke about nature and felt all the different kind of trees, we had races, we ate ourselves silly but the best thing for me was having the 4 boys that mean the most to me taking time out to enjoy what i love doing,
