so as you may know i am 28.
i know i don't look a day over 24.
but it is true i am.
and because of this and me finishing my course,
jevan decided to surprise me with a night away in the city.
*cue music and un-co dance mum moves*
so to start this awesome weekend off
(and a special shout out to my mum and brother-in-law Jared by making this happen)
we headed to the royal national park to do the figure 8 pool hike.
this bad boy had been on my bucket list for YEARS - not even exaggerating.
it's a solid hours hike and you've got to time it with the low tide.
there's no point in going at high tide:
1. you won't even see the pools
2. it's crazy dangerous.
jevan and i thought we were so fit walking down to the hike
we totally forget to take into account that we would have to walk UP all the way back.
was totally worth it though.
this walk pretty much has it all.
bush, beach and rocks, a whole lotta rocks.
the pools itself were actually way smaller than i had envisioned in my head.
i love how photographers can make things look way different than they actually are.
but it was still amazing and beautiful to see.
i felt like we went on the windiest day of september.
so we only stayed there for an hour and then headed back because we were freezing.
i didn't get to have that sitting in the pools in my swimmers shot,
i weighed up he photo too being freezing all the way back and thought yeh i'm good.
the way back was silent real silent with a lot of puffing from the both of us.
i felt like the incline went on FOR-E-V-E-R,
but i honestly loved it and when we got to the top i felt so great.
the royal national park has so many beauties,
we will be back to uncover some more of them.
