Light Bulb Moment

so this week i had a light bulb moment.
it has just occurred to me that my life is no longer mine
and it is dedicated to raising my children.
i always knew it was dedicated to raising them
but really i just realised my life isn't mine anymore lol.
i would see people on social media travelling or going for hikes or going to the beach,
things that i want to be doing.
and then a thought came to me,
that i am only 26.
i have plenty of time to tick off bucket adventures and to travel to amazing places.
i will never get this time back with my boys ever again.
once they are grown up
that's it.
and let's face it i have 3 sons they will literally all leave me.
and ever since i have come to this realisation i have been less stressed about everything.
dinner hasn't been on the table at exactly 5 o'clock,
because homework and reading time is more important.
bike rides are more important,
learning how to play a sport is more important.
answering there questions is more important.
if they house isn't vacuumed once a day
if they aren't in bed at 7 on the dot.
-that's ok,
fortunately the crumbs will still be there tomorrow.
being a mum is the best thing i have done.
and i'm trying to embrace it
every moment of it
- the bad, the ugly and the hair raising.

EnZed

we just got back from visiting one of my most favourite places in the world.
new zealand.
there is something about this place that just makes you feel relaxed and at peace.
the scenery is amazing.
this year we finally got a sunny day.
for the last 2 years when we go to visit we have been rained out.
so we spent the day paddle boarding and swimming at the beach.
we ate at my FAVOURITE bakery
- chicken camenbert pie
so delish !
we spent time with family,
we played games,
we slept,
isaac got ordained to a deacon,
we ate,
we drank a whole lot of L&P,
the boys ate rashuns,
it was a perfect quick getaway.
i say this every year but next time i am staying longer than 3 days !
