i don't know if this is just a boy thing but my kids HATE photos.
unless it's using the selfie stick and they can see themselves.
trying to have, even planning to have mail photos makes me anxious.
they hate getting dressed up in nice clothes, they will not smile on command, they will even do the opposite of what they are meant to be doing.
i think this is why i love lifestyle photography the most.
it's not staged, there isn't stress involved in getting some ok snaps.
the photos i made them take for a mother's day present was apparently the worst most horrible thing i have ever made them do.
they were so bad.
they would not sit still, they wouldn't smile, they messed their hair up in the way before we even got to the location - it was a disaster.
instead of getting angry at them i decided just embrace it.
we had to turn everything into a game, even sometimes a healthy competition.
i came very prepared with bribery for after.
they were pretty much on a sugar high when we arrived at church that week.
i do love that in this shoot you get to catch a glimpse of each of their personalities,
especially our mr braxton boy.
you can basically know his feelings toward the whole situation in half of them.
