Christmas 2016

yet again,
christmas time flew by without giving me a chance to sit and write about it until now.
we had a wonderful christmas.
the boys were super excited,
especially our little braxton.
he is the definition of the christmas spirit.
you couldn't wipe the smile off his face from christmas eve all the way through to christmas day.
makai wrote his first letter to santa this year.
it's time like these i realise they are growing up.
zayden knew 110% what christmas was about this year.
he was so excited and kept looking at all his presents,
they couldn't believe they were all for him.
the boys really enjoyed choosing their own gifts to give this year for their family members.
christmas eve jevan and i spent all day busting our butts off putting their presents altogether so we could enjoy christmas morning without hearing
"can you set it up now pleaseeeeeeeeeeee."
we spent christmas eve dinner with the nicholls,
we did the nativity and zayden thought his home-made towel costume was on point,
he wouldn't take it off.
we read the scriptures and opened presents from this side of the family.
we came home and watched the polar express and then went to bed for santa to come.
this is the first year we have had one that didn't go straight to sleep,
so lucky santa (who was absolutely exhausted) had to wait until mr makai feel off to sleep.
christmas morning was awesome.
seeing the boys (who woke up at 5am) faces when they realised santa had come was priceless.
these are really the very best christmas's i will experience in my life.
we read the scriptures and spoke a little about the birth of jesus,
and then the anticipation of opening the presents was over.
as they went through their sacks,
toys were flying everywhere.
they loved giving their presents that they had bought for each other out.
excitement, gratitude, laughter and joy filled our home.
we got to spend christmas going to sacrament this year.
the songs were amazing and i couldn't help but feel love.
i am so grateful for the birth of the saviour.
we spent christmas lunch with the ormsbys.
it was a ball.
the food was delicious, the company was great and the table setting (my sister in law had it on point.)
we came home and had mum and dad over from christmas dinner,
which pretty much consisted of left overs from christmas eve.
this was one of my most favourite christmas's yet.
