so this week has been SUUUUUUPER trying,
like unbelievably.
but before this crazy patient-testing week we spent a wonderful weekend with the boys,
or "they guys" as zayden calls them.
my cousin had his 18th last friday down in huskisson,
so OF COURSE i take any opportunity to go down there and do some exploring.
this time instead of doing the coastal trip we went the country route.
we stopped at berrima and penrose forest.
berrima is like stepping back in time.
the buildings there are amazingly cute.
there is a goal that the boys were desperately wanting to go inside and see
but unfortunately they had to settle for a tour of the courthouse.
which was creepy enough.
the mannequins they have their are next level CREEEEEEPY.
the court house in some sections are dark
so i told our bravest bracky to go and open the door in front of us.
there was a man trap the boys thought was AWESOME
and they saw this contraction that use to go in the prisoners mouths to make them not talk.
makai was so freaked out by that.
they have done a beautiful job at keeping it in its original form.
the boys came out telling me how scary it was.
i told them that if they do anything bad they would end up in a courthouse like that.
they shook there heads violently saying i will NEVER do anything bad EVER.
we wondered up and down the (one) main street looking at all the original shops that are still in use.
berrima even has an awesome park there.
which was the perfect stop for the boys to run and be crazy
and for me to sit and do nothing.
we went to the lolly swagman
and after so many fights about which lolly they were going to get they finally agreed upon one.
just before we left we stopped at the bakery (of course.)
next up was penrose forest.
ever been to a forest at dusk?
so spooky.
and the wind was not helping the situation.
the boys loved seeing the different stages of the trees and searching around for pine cones.
we headed down to huskisson through the kangaroo valley,
that view with the sunset was SPECTACULAR.
if i wasn't pushed for time we would have stopped for a photo.
the party was fun,
the boys had a blast.
you would find braxton and zayden in the garage dancing, watching beer pong
and at the polaroid photo wall.
you would find makai watching the rugby league on tv right by the fire.
