a couple of weeks ago the old boys had their rugby presentation.
braxton had been waiting for this day since they began training back in march.
he has been wanting a trophy that had his name on it,
that he could keep forever.
he was so eager.
i told them we were going to leave church early to go to it.
he asked me every 5 minutes if it was time yet.
it ALMOST sent me batty.
they stood proudly with their team as their names got called out to receive their trophy.
to bracky's surprise he even got the coach's award for the year.
i was so so so proud.
my eyes were welling up so bad.
his smile was the biggest i have ever seen it.
waking up early every freezing cold saturday morning was well worth it.
i love seeing how they both improve each year
and how their understanding and love grows for the game.
they look forward to each season.
can't wait for next year makai has graduated to the tackling stage
