to start off every good second day of a road trip,
you need to have a breakfast stop at the local bakery.
meat pies, chicken pies, cheese and bacon rolls, cinnamon toast and milkshakes.
breakfast made of champions, i know.
i've always wanted to take the kids across a train track that you can walk on
and right next to the bakery was exactly that.
we took a walk across it - the boys loved it.
and of course mr braxton decided to start running up the train track.
we hopped in the car and started heading to orange but i noticed an old train track that wasn't in use anymore, that's also another bucket list event.
i think abandoned tracks make for a great photo setting,
the mr o so kindly pulled over and we spent a good hour at this train track exploring it.
the boys were amazed and we even got to take home a momento,
mr o found the boys an old nail that had come out.
it now sits on the bookcase in their room - braxton tries to use it as a sword
and we kindly have to remind him at how hard it is.
so back in the car we go and head to our next stop on our adventure.
raspberry picking.
the weather was terrible, the ground was muddy, it was superbly chilly,
the boys had fallen asleep so they were so very grump especially braxton (he's like me).
but against all the odds it was so much fun.
and you know who loved it the most - good old bracky boy.
zayden's method of picking was one for me and one for the container.
our shoes got muddy, we got wet,
we giggled and we made memories.
that ended our second and final day of our easter road trip.
it was the best (from my recollection) the best little break this mumma has had with her boys ever.
